What skills do you need to get a job?

NDIS can fund school leaver employment supports for up to two years, depending on your circumstances. The funds are to help you to build your ability and confidence to enter the workforce

We all have our own strengths and challenges and some of us have already tried work experience, while others have not yet had that opportunity. Each school leaver’s employment supports will be different because they are developed on the basis of your needs.

Skills that could form an individual program of supports to get ready for employment might include:

  • money handling skills
  • time management skills
  • communication skills
  • discovery activities
  • work experience
  • travel skills
  • personal development skills
