The outdoors are so important to our health that in some countries, doctors are prescribing time in the forest (forest bathing) to help with things like reducing effects of stress, drops in high blood pressure, boosting immunity and fighting cancer.
Some people with disability do not get as much time to experience the outdoors and all that it has to offer our senses, our health, our delight in birds and animals. Today is Earth Day! If you have a disability or care for someone with disability, plan for some time outside being immersed in all that our beautiful earth has to offer.
At Scarlet Homecare, we have the skills to support all people with disability to experience all the beauty our earth has to offer, regardless of the complexity of the disability. It is really important that people with complex needs get to enjoy the outdoors and it is important that they are supported by staff who understand the needs and can provide the professional support required.
